Wishlists and Wanderings was launched in August 2015 as a resource for aspiring travellers and ambitious people working to reach their goals. If you love exploring our beautiful planet, pushing the boundaries of your comfort zone (you can do it!) and the idea of being a life-long learner, you’ll feel right at home here.
We share inspiring travel guides and tips (with vegan and vegetarian-friendly insight) and self-improvement and motivational posts to help you grow.
Sound like something you can’t miss? Sign up to our bright and non-spammy newsletter to get updates on all the world wanderings and tips. Or you could follow along on Instagram for bite-sized shots of awesomeness — come say hi!
I’m a 27 year old South African who has been smitten with wanderlust since a trip to Europe when I was a teenager. Since then, I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to travel even more, in between completing a Masters degree in media theory and practice, working full time in the communications and digital industry and co-parenting a fluffy feline named Lemon. It’s taught me a lot about travelling alone (and surviving 12+ hours in economy class), living a more balanced life and embracing change.
Driven by a love of writing and helping people achieve their goals, I started Wishlists and Wanderings to inspire others to travel and share what I’ve learnt in my efforts to grow my skills and live a more positive and productive life.
So far, I’ve visited 15 countries (some more often than others). Want specifics? The list is: Italy, Switzerland, France, the United Kingdom, Monaco, the Vatican City, Greece, the United States, Peru, the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Tunisia, Oman and Qatar… oh, and I’m counting South Africa too!
