Screen Songs 1: Free Coldplay-inspired mobile and desktop wallpaper

"Turn your magic on, Umi she'd say. Everything you want's a dream away." Have you ever listened to quiet background music and suddenly been struck by the lyrics? That's how Coldplay's Adventure of a Lifetime snuck up on me. There I was, just innocently looking for a new upbeat running song, and Chris Martin's melody dropped a sneaky bomb on me.

Yes, I will turn my magic on RIGHT NOW, thanks very much, Mr Martin sir.

How often do we get so stressed or caught up in the day-to-day sleep-work-eat-sleep routine that we forget about our unique power and perspective on the world? To me, this line in the song is a lyrical jump start, reminding the listener of her own special brand of creativity, individual ability and potential to give her best.

In case you need a reminder of your inner power, I've put together a free downloadable wallpaper for your desktop or mobile phone! This one is inspired by a live show I saw during the band's Mylo Xyloto era, where they released giant colourful bouncing balls into the crowd.

This will be the first in my new Screen Songs series, so check back on the last Tuesday of every month for a new free wallpaper, based on motivating or inspiring lyrics.

Download your new wallpaper here:

Mobile phone wallpaper (best for iPod Touch and iPhone 5, 5S, 6, 6S and SE)

Desktop wallpaper (laptop, desktop, some tablets)

Download tips:

I've kept the design pretty simple and pattern-based so you don't have to crop the words out to fit your screen size. Depending on your device, the landscape version may work better (especially for Android phones), so play around to see what works for you.

Do you have any favourite motivating song lyrics you'd love to see on your screen? Let me know in the comments!
