Screen Songs 2: Free TV on the Radio mobile and desktop wallpaper

I'm still pretty new to TV on the Radio, but their song Seeds has the type of chorus that nestles down into the folds of your brain and refuses to budge. It helps that its lyrics are a very relevant metaphor too. "Rain comes down like it always does. This time, I've got seeds on ground."

(Yes, it is "seeds on ground" and not "seeds on the ground" - it fits better with the melody, so I'll restrain my grammar-attacking tendencies and let it pass.)

The song is the title track on TV on the Radio's fifth album, and it's earned a spot on my inspirational lyrics list too. I like the message it conveys about learning from your mistakes and preparing so things will be different next time. The rain will come again.

The idea of seeds is also good for those of us who want it all, right now. Sometimes, you just have to take one step and start small. Plant the seed, make sure it's watered, then sit back and let it grow.

If you'd like a little reminder from TV on the Radio to get your seeds on the ground and ready for the rain, I've put together a free mobile and desktop wallpaper. I couldn't decide which version I liked more (minimal? Or with visible lilies?) so I decided to share them both. Pick your favourite and get downloading below:

Download your new wallpaper here:

Mobile phone wallpaper (best for iPod Touch and iPhone 5, 5S, 6, 6S and SE)

Desktop wallpaper (laptop, desktop, some tablets)

This is the second in the Wishlists and Wanderings Screen Songs series, so check back on the last Tuesday of every month for a new free wallpaper, based on motivating or inspiring lyrics.

Download tips:

I've kept the design pretty simple so you shouldn't have to crop the words to fit your screen size. Depending on your device, the landscape version may work better (especially for Android phones), so play around to see what works for you.
